Ok, so from my other blog you may have gathered I've got a sil80 that's registered now, unfortunately means only one thing - too many projects, not enough space. Car is very straight, white, a little rust, complete minus driveline. Now complete standard except:
Adj Rear Camber
Adj Rear Toe
Adj Rear Traction
Custom 3 Point Welded in Rear Strut Brace
Custom Welded in Castor Rod Brace
Walbro 255 lt/hr Pump, High Current Pump Wiring & Relay
Custom fixed quad headlights (spare standards can be included)
Car is not complied and cannot be complied or registered.

After a busy week at work it was decided to take the 180sx to the Saturday Drags at Calder Park Raceway. With a quarter of a tank of Powerplus 110 Octane Race Fuel, a full bottle of Nitrous, and some 235 semi-comps on the rear, off to Calder we went...
The clutch not being up to the task became evident when it slipped first time in the burnout patch. Having made it all the way there and through scrutineering I decided to 'baby' the clutch and try and get a few passes in. The car showed some great potential with a best ET of 12.1 with a 2.2 60', and a best trap speed of 126 mph! Can't wait for a good clutch / box / tire combo for some much better times
Thanks to my mate Dush for this video from the pits - Struggling for traction & slipping clutch still 122 mph
I also took my new toy to the track, my GoPro HD Hero - Motorsport high definition video camera. To my surprise the track marshals had no concerns what so ever with it, and I got some great footage. I'm still to edit and reduce it to a suitable size for the web, but I'll upload some footage when it's sorted!
