Having seen a few tough budget built SR20DE's that had survived well with forced induction, we wanted to see how far they can go...

De-Luded

Sunday 13th June 2010: I purchase and received this car on a nice winter morning, everything nice, clean, stock, a 180SX Type S - SR20 Non Turbo Manual..... Wait this is wrong, totally wrong I need a drift car for Drift Attack in 6 days time. It’s time to go to work and start stripping everything out and turn it into a competition ready drift car in 5days time....

Since it was already stupidly short on time to build a drift car no time to waste and immediately started to pull everything out the engine, gearbox, interior you name it. Here as you guys can see the engine is a stock SR20DE for you guys who are not familiar of the Nissan engine code SR20DE means SR(engine code) 20(2.0Liters) D(Dual Overhead Cam) E(Electronic Fuel Injection). And here are some added info for you guys who like some more technique spec:

The Specs
Type: Water cooled, 4 cycle in-line 4 cylinder
Combustion Chamber: Cross flow, pentroof type
Valve mechanism: DOHC, 4 valves per cyl, chain drive

After a few hours removing and dismantling everything from the car, the hour was getting late, and it was time to call it a day and plan for what is to be done the next day, as tomorrow would be a day of preparing the non-turbo for some forced induction!
